  • PDCF 2019 Music

Taking into account the comments on the rather demanding music last year we have tried to make the music a little more approachable and have cut out an introit in order to give choirs a few less notes to learn.

Responses Ayleward  (last used in 2016)

Canticles: Stanford in C (not sung in last 30 plus years)

Anthems: Mudd - Let thy merciful ears  (not sung in last 30 plus years);  Ireland - Greater Love  (last sung in 2011 so some may remember this)

Hymns: Be thou my vision, O praise ye the Lord and Maurice Bevan's arrangement of There's a wideness in God's mercy

  • PDCF 2018 - Message from Tansy Castledine

Hearty congratulations to all those who participated in the DCF; it was a splendid afternoon and we accomplished a huge amount together, as a result of your incredible hard work and dedication both in advance and on the day. I hope that you enjoyed the service as much as I did, and are as proud of what we achieved as I am; it was super to be able to tackle such a wide range of music and to sing it with such energy and conviction within the service. To the working group, I should like to express my thanks for everything that happened behind the scenes to make the day run so smoothly, particularly as newcomer myself, and to you all, thank you for your continued support of your choirs and all that you give to ensure their success and continual development.  I look forward to seeing you all again soon.
